Morning glory is a climbing annual flowering herb or vine. Its leaves are broadly ovate or nearly circular, base heart-shaped, margin entire or 3-lobed. Its stem is clothed by long hair. Its flowers are solitary, axillary, funnel-shaped, bluish or purplish. The flowers are several centimetres wide and appear in various shades of blue, pink or rose, often with white stripes or edges or blends of colours. It is cultivated as an attractive ornamental plant in many places.
