Mount Roraima is the highest of the Pakaraima mountain chain and lies on the southeastern corner of Venezuela. It is one of the world’s most extraordinary natural geological formations defined by 400-metre tall cliffs on all sides and includes the borders of Brazil, Venezuela and Guyana. It is about 14 km long and 2,772 metres high; it is the source of many rivers. It rains almost every day creating several waterfalls. The Tabletop Mountains of the Pakaraima are considered some of the oldest geological formations on the earth, dating back to over two billion years ago resulting in the staggering landscape.
