Mr. Dickens’ Class

Mr.-Dickens'-Class

Mr. Dickens was known as the most loving teacher in the entire school. He taught little children moral values through examples and exercises. When the principal of the school got a complaint that the Grade 2 children were unruly, he thought of sending Mr. Dickens there. “The children in the second grade are always fighting with one another. They hurl stones at one another, snatch lunch boxes, tear off pages from notebooks and so on. Their teacher, Miss Fox, is unable to control those fighting children,” the principal said to Mr. Dickens. “Don’t worry, sir. I will go to their class tomorrow,” said Mr. Dickens. The next day, Mr. Dickens asked each boy to stand up and say five good things about another boy in the class. Ryan said, “Sam is funny, helpful, honest, polite and clever.” The entire class became engrossed in the exercise and forgot their fights and anger. They became the best-behaved class in the whole school.
