A Mud Volcano is a formation that was created by geo-excreted gases and liquids. The main gas it emits is usually methane, but it might also emit incombustible gases such as helium, nitrogen and carbon dioxide. This volcano is found all over the world but mostly in Eastern Azerbaijan. Scientists think there may even be a few on Mars. These volcanoes are similar in shape as other volcanoes but with several cones; they have a maximum height of 700 metres. Azerbaijan has at least 400 volcanoes. In 2001, a Mud Volcano erupted, shooting flames that reached 49 ft in the air.
