Prince Abdul was given his first camel by his father, the Sheikh. It had a fabulous silken cover embroidered with gold thread on its back. Decorations hung around its neck with a beautiful golden bell. Prince Abdul loved his camel and the bell always told him where it was. One day, the camel wandered off at night. The prince was very upset and immediately a search was organised. The sand had covered its hoof-prints and the Sheikh’s soldiers couldn’t find it till sunset. The prince was heart-broken. The caravan moved in the morning to the next oasis. They reached there and set up their camp for a few days. On the second night, there was a faint sound of a bell. Abdul ran out but couldn’t see the camel. He followed the sound across the sands and there was the camel! He ran, caught him and uttered, “My precious camel is back!”
