Mysterious Cavern structures were found deep inside a French cave in the 1990. According to scientists the walls date back to at least 1,75,000 years ago and are the work of Neanderthal builders. Neanderthals lived in Eurasia from about 4,00,000 to 40,000 years ago and died out just as modern humans arrived. Extraordinary constructions are made from nearly 400 stalagmites yanked from the ground and stacked on top of one another to produce rudimentary walls on the cave floor. The largest of the walls is nearly 7 metres across and stands up to 40 cm high. The structures rank among the earliest human building projects ever discovered.
