Nehru became peace messenger

Bapu was a saint—he left the world after giving the message of non-violence and peace. But the torch which he had lighted of world peace had been continued by Jawaharlal. Although there was a difference of opinion between Jawaharlal and Gandhiji but the path in which they had to move was the same.
Once Gandhiji wrote about Nehru—“He says that he (Nehru) cannot understand my language. He also says that I cannot understand him but I know when I will go, he will speak my language.”
And he was right. After his death, the same thing of non-violence and peace had been muttered by Jawaharlal throughout his life and became a messenger of word peace. After independence he spread the light of awakening throughout Asia and gave the whole world message of peace.
Un United Nations constituent assembly
On his return from the Commonwealth Prime Minister’s conference in October 1948, he moved towards Paris for the conference of the United Nations Constituent Assembly. He had been invited and in an speech on 3rd November 1948, he said—“This Assembly is the outcome of the two world wars. What we had learned from these wars; rightly it has taught us that by following the path of hatred and violence, we cannot build peace.”
Nehruji was giving speech continuously unstoppable and all the worldwide representatives had an eye to him. This strong voice was of new Asia, an awakening Asia and the person who gave it a height was none other than the Prime Minister of India—Jawaharlal Nehru. A country which had no identity of its own, one year back, is now spreading the message of world peace on the forefront. It was the first occasion in the history of United Nations that each and every representative was listening to any Prime Minister with such a seriousness, peace and impatience. After the speech, he received a standing ovation and every representative clapped the desk to support his theory; and now Jawaharlal had been counted among the top leaders of the world. He became popular in the world as the messenger to world peace. He had been receiving invitations from many countries, especially the slave countries for his counselling on the matter of freedom struggle.
