Nelson and his Father

Nelson-and-his-Father

Nelson liked to make models of buildings like his father did. His father was a reputed architect in the city. He made beautiful models of houses. Nelson also dreamt about being a great architect when he grew up. So, whenever he got an opportunity, he watched his father work closely. One evening, Nelson’s father brought home a grand model of his latest building. He had been working very hard on this project for many days. That night, when his parents were away, Nelson rushed to his father’s workshop to look at the model. Accidentally, he dropped the model and it fell down. Nelson’s father was furious to see the broken pieces. He shouted, “Who did this?” “I did it,” admitted Nelson, “It was an accident, dad! I am very sorry.” Moved by his honest answer, Nelson’s father said, “I forgive you but be careful next time.” Also impressed with his interest in architecture, he encouraged Nelson to work with him.
