Nemerteas are very slim worms and less than 20 cm long with patterns of yellow, orange, red and green colouration. They have proboscis emerging just above their mouths, which turn inside-out to capture prey. They move very slowly using external cilia to glide. They feed on annelids, clams and crustaceans. Eggs are fertilized externally. Their lifespan is one year.
