Noah had three sons and they were named Shem, Ham and Japheth respectively. Haran was known as the Father of lot and he was the descendent of Terah or Shem. One day, Jehovah asked Abraham to go far into a land, away from his father, family and house. He said, “ I will tell you the land to go and I will bless you with prosperity. Such will be your success that all the living beings of the Earth will want to have a life like that of yours.” As ordered, he left the place with his wife, Sarah and lots of nephews. At the age of Seventy-five years, he set out to explore the Land of Canaan. On the way, Abraham gave the land of Shechem to his children, and also the oak of Moreh. He built an altar there for Jehovah and then moved ahead to Bethel. He was quite rich now as he had lots of cattle and livestock.
