Otto the Shy Octopus

Otto was a shy octopus.

He did not have any friends.

Once, he went to catch an oyster.

Otto slipped and got stuck.

His long arms got all tied up!

Poor Otto could not move!

Many fish swam past, ignoring him.

A small fish stopped by.

She helped to untie Otto’s arms.

Otto shyly swam away.

One day, he saw all fish rushing past.

A huge fish was after them!

Otto hid behind a stone.

Peeping, he saw the kind little fish.

The big fish was chasing her!

Otto rushed out to help her.

He shot out a big jet of ink.

Otto then grabbed the little fish.

They swam off together!

Otto was shy no more.

Moral: Being brave overcomes shyness.
