Own up Your Mistake

Claire was a small boy. He was disciplined. Once he made a mistake. Everyone makes a mistakes sometimes. Even disciplined boys can make mistakes but it is important to own up the mistake. One day, Claire fell ill but no one knew the reason. Sitting by his bedside, his grandfather told him a story. “When I was your age, one day, I accidentally broke my mother’s cookie jar. I did not tell anyone. The guilt made me feel sick.” “What is guilt, grandpa?” Claire asked. “Guilt is the feeling when you make a mistake and feel bad about it,” grandpa said. “How did you get well, grandpa?” asked Claire. “By owning up my mistake, I became free of guilt!” said grandpa. Claire started crying and said, “I lost the pen I had borrowed from you. I am so sorry!” “See, you have owned up your mistake. Now, you have no guilt. You will get well soon, my child!” said grandpa.
