The Palio Della Rana is a unique event, where almost 300 people dress in medieval costumes and parade before the main event. The main event is a frog race, where each contestant pushes a wheelbarrow holding a single frog, 170 metres down a track. The frogs are examined before and after the race, and if the frog jumps out of the wheelbarrow the contestant must stop and put him back in before continuing.
