This pantropical-spotted dolphin is one of the smallest dolphins with white speckles on a dark back. They have beak-like pointed snouts and sickle-shaped dorsal fins. Living in groups called pods, they grow 8 feet long and weigh 200-255 kg. They are good swimmers and perform acrobatic feats. It gives birth to a calf, after 11 months of gestation.
