Farmer Bertram had got a new van with a trailer. He had an old van, a tractor, a horse buggy and a donkey cart. Now, he had a problem. “Where should I park this van and trailer?” he wondered. The farm creatures were very worried. Would he put it in the barn or the stable or would the hens be sold off to make place for the van? They whispered and consulted one another. The next day, some men arrived at the farm with a lot of stuff: wood and drills and saws and all kinds of things. There was a lot of noise as they hammered and sawed and drilled. This went on for two days. On the third morning, a large new barn was standing behind the farmhouse! All the creatures went to admire it and heaved a sigh of relief. Their homes were safe after all!
