Lola was the glamorous new goat who had arrived at Oak Farm. She considered herself the prettiest creature on the farm because she was brown with a lovely pink nose and long lashes. Gloria, the farmer’s daughter, pampered her and got her a pink ribbon with a bell around her neck and a straw hat with sweet-peas on it! The other birds and animals looked at Lola and murmured, “Silly goat! We’ll have to teach her a lesson!” They invited her to a party on Sunday evening at the barn. Lola was delighted, “A party! In my honour! How sweet of you!” On Sunday when she arrived, the barn was dark. No one was there. Lola was very upset. Suddenly, she skidded and, with a huge splash, fell into a tub of slushy water! The lights came on as the farm creatures burst out laughing! “Now you are one of us, Lola! Welcome to Oak Farm!”
