Pepper and Salt

Once, a couple had a son named Hantisho meaning ‘sneeze’. One day, when they were going out, they asked Hantisho to stay at home and sleep. Hantisho slept without closing the door. A hyena was passing and saw the open door. He went in and saw the sleeping boy. The hyena carried the boy to the jungle and put him on the ground. When Hantisho woke up, he was shocked to see the hyena. But he was smart and said, “Will you eat me without pepper and salt?” The hyena said, “I don’t have that.” Hantisho said that he would get some pepper and salt from his home. The hyena agreed. Hantisho quickly ran home and shut the door. The hyena realised that Hantisho had gone and he also ran home and called out, “Hantisho! Hantisho!” Hantisho said, “It’s night; don’t disturb me!” The hyena asked, “Why did you cheat me?” Hantisho replied, “God advised me.”
