Peter had begun working as a gardener at the palace since he was a little boy. He loved the trees and plants but his favourite was a small patch of flowers that he grew especially to make little posies. There were pansies, daisies, violets and little clumps of lavender and candytuft. He made a posy every day and gave it to Princess Megan when she came out to play. One day, it was announced that there would be a ball for the princess to select her husband. When the princess came out that morning, Peter was not there. Suddenly, she realised that it was not the posies she missed. She missed her childhood friend! That evening when the ball began, no one could find Megan. Suddenly, there was a hush as Megan walked in looking gorgeous in a blue gown, holding the hand of a handsome young man. It was Peter she had selected!
