The picasso trigger is a colourful fish found on reefs and sand flats. It is white with dark bands extending from its anal fin and a dark band over the eyes with blue lines. Sponges, stony corals, molluscs, crustaceans, worms, brittle stars and sea urchins make up their diet. It is territorial, guarding the eggs fiercely. Its lifespan is 10-15 years.
