Pike and the Sea Fish

Once there lived a Pike in the river. The river was close to the sea and merged into the sea. Pike was a very large fish and he had a huge family. He had six children and he was very proud of his family. Every day, the Pike would go and gather food for his family.
One day, while he was searching for food in the river, a big tide from the sea swept Pike into the sea. The Pike struggled to swim in the sea water but then he adjusted to the flow.
As he looked around, he realised that all the fish were smaller than he.
At first, the sea fish were amazed to see the river fish in the sea. But they all began to talk to him. But Pike was proud of his size. He would laugh at the sea fish. He would say, “I am bigger and mightier than you. I can sweep you off in a jiffy.”
Pike decided to settle in the sea water as he felt he could become the king of the sea one day. He talked about his children and his big family all day. He would point at fish and tell them how small and insignificant they were. The sea fish were annoyed by his behaviour but remained calm.

Finally, one day, after being insulted by Pike, a small fish decided to speak. “Hey! You big guy! Stop insulting the sea fish. We are kind enough to let you live here. You belong to the river. We might be small, but if we are caught, we cost a fortune in the market. You would be sold only for few pennies.”
