Pinnipeds are semi-aquatic marine mammals found in polar and sub-polar regions. They are comprised of walruses, sea lions, fur seals and the earless or true seals. They are 1-5 metres long and weigh 45-3200 kg. They have streamlined bodies and four flippers. They feed on fish, marine invertebrates and sea birds. Its lifespan is 25-30 years.
