Plitvice Lake National Park is a large forest reserve located in Croatia. The oldest national park in southeastern Europe and the largest one in Croatia, Plitvice Lake National Park was founded in 1949. Spread over 296.85 sq.km, this National Park is known the world over for many lakes and their delicate arrangement whereby they cascade into one another. There are 16 lakes that can be seen from the surface that are interconnected and follow the flow of water.
