Once, a rabbit named, Pondsy lived with his friend in the burrow. Pondsy was proud of his appearance, but he didn’t like his bobtail because of its short size and always wished to have a long tail. Once, Pondsy saw a boy playing with a toy cat whose tail was long. Pondsy pounced on the toy cat and took it into his burrow to attach it. He didn’t come outside for many days.
When the other rabbits asked him what he was doing inside, he said proudly, “I am growing a tail.” The other rabbits also wanted to grow their tails and asked Pondsy, “How did he grow his tail.” Pondsy replied, “You will have to live in your burrow and will have to think only about the tail.” All rabbits believed in the words of Pondsy and tried their best but couldn’t. Pondsy cleverly made all rabbits agree to make him their king and held a meeting on the hill. While meeting, a fox sneaked up on them. All rabbits fled but the poor Pondsy couldn’t because of his long tail. The fox grabbed the tail and it came off in his mouth. The other rabbits realized that Pondsy had been pretending.
