Once, there lived two giraffes, Omi and her baby, Pororo, in the forest. One day, both were grazing in a green pasture. Suddenly, a group of men caught them from there and brought in a zoo. Every day, they would stand by their bars and people would come to have a look at them. This made them irritated. One day, a group of little boys and their teacher arrived to watch them. All boys were wearing red caps. Seeing this Omi fascinated towards the caps.
She wished that Pororo could wear the same cap. While the teacher was telling the boys about giraffes, Omi took her neck outside the bars and pulled off a boy’s cap. Pulling her neck back in, she placed the cap on Pororo’s head. The little boy, whose cap Omi had taken, began to cry. The zookeepers tried to get back the cap from Omi but she would not return it. So a new cap was bought for the little boy. Now Omi and Pororo lived happily.
