Porpoises are dolphin-like, but much smaller aquatic mammals.Also related to whales, they have small, round heads and blunt jaws lined with spade-shaped teeth. They can grow up to 2.5 metres long and weigh 130-200 kg. They can dive up to 200 metres and feed on fish, squid and crustaceans. Gestation period is 11 months. Lifespan is 8-10 years.
