Prevention is Better than Cure

‘Prevention is better than cure’ is a practical and well-acquainted proverb. Most of the people overeat and then take a tablet to digest it. But most often, the cure doesn’t work. They damage their liver and lose their appetite forever. Why be wiser after the accident? Avoid rash driving and reach home safe. All the evils have a tempting face. They attract and then ruin their victims. The evil of drinking and smoking, for example, becomes incurable once the habit or addiction is developed. It can cause cancer and heart attack. The same is true about gambling and other weaknesses. Keeping away from them is the surest way to health and happiness. One who takes precaution does not catch evils and diseases. He is truly wise.
Vocabulary
Tempting—appealing
Incurable—that can’t be cured
