Princess Diana enjoyed hunting. She had heads of stags and bears in the palace and there were stuffed foxes, hares and birds decorating various rooms. But one day, all that changed. When she went out hunting in the forest, she shot a doe. When she got down to have it fetched, she found a tiny fawn. It was the most fascinating creature she had ever seen. With its soft muzzle, large beautiful eyes and velvety coat, it was so beautiful and helpless. Princess Diana picked up the little fawn and decided to take it back with her. Everyone thought she would kill it. But a strange transformation took place. She stopped hunting and removed all the stuffed animals from the palace. She became known as the kindest princess who looked after all the creatures of the kingdom and the forest. She was loved by everyone in her kingdom.
