The Salt mines in Yekaterinburg, Russia, are unique and incredible to behold. Located many hundred feet below the city of Yekaterinburg, the Psychedelic Salt Mines (as they are rightly called) have mind-bending, ornate and colourful patterns on their walls. While the patterns look as if they were man-made, they have occurred naturally caused by the layers of carnalite, which is an uncommon double chloride mineral that forms in very specific conditions. The carnalite has left behind incredible colourful swirling patterns yellow, white, red and blue on the rocks.
