Puma Punku is a large temple complex located near Tiwanaku, in Bolivia, in the Andes Mountains at an altitude of 12,800 ft. Puma Punku has unique megalithic stones; they are among the largest on the planet, measuring up to 26 ft long and weighing more than a 100 tons each. These incredible stones have perfect right angles, almost smooth as glass and the blocks fit together like a puzzle, forming load-bearing joints without the use of mortar. This is indicative of a highly sophisticated knowledge of stone-cutting and descriptive geometry. Another puzzle is how they transported these stones to the site.
