The Qubbet el-Hawa often referred to as the Tomb of the Nobles was built in Aswan between the 3rd millennium BC and the 11th century BC. The Qubbet el-Hawa consists of rock-cut tombs that were built along the western bank of the Nile. The tombs were built over centuries. While the elite tombs date back to the 3rd millennium, the later tombs were built between 2055 BC and 1069 BC.
