Rabbit

Rabbits are social and loving animals that live in groups called ‘herds’.

Rabbits are herbivores and eat plants and farm crops.

Carrots are their favourite food.

Rabbits have short tails and long ears that can turn in any direction.

Rabbits are most active during sunrise and sunset.

During the day, they hide under bushes, logs or even in old sheds.

A rabbit’s teeth never stop growing.

Rabbits can jump as long as 36 inches and can run about 35 miles an hour.

Rabbits build underground burrows to live in. A burrow has

tunnels and a large room.

When rabbits are happy, they do a series of jumps, twists and runs,

which is called ‘binky’.

Many people keep rabbits as pets and train them.
