Roy Chapman Andrews was born on 26th January 1884 in  Beloit, Wisconsin, United States and he died on 11th March 1960 (aged 76 years) in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, United States. A renowned naturalist, Roy led expeditions into the Gobi desert and Mongolia. He brought back the first known dinosaur’s eggs and numerous precious fossils. Roy travelled to the Arctic where he filmed some of the best footage of seals ever seen. He has written various books about his expeditions, and his own life.

Do you know: Roy Chapman Andrews wanted to work in the Museum of Natural history so badly that on being told that there was no opening he took a job as a janitor in the Museum.
