Brad was a proud and rude boy. His father always told him to be humble and kind to all but Brad stuck to his ways. On his seventh birthday, Brad had received many gifts from his relatives and friends. His parents had gifted him computer games while others gave expensive toys and games. “I got such good gifts, dad,” said Brad while opening his gifts. “Yes, you must send a thank-you card to everyone,” said his dad. Brad then saw a small gift box lying amongst his other gifts. When he opened it, he found a small pocket diary inside the box. It was from his poor nanny. “What a small and useless gift this is!” said Brad to his dad. Brad’s dad said, “Your nanny loves you. It’s her feelings for you that matters, not the size of the gift.” Brad realised his mistake and felt bad for his behaviour. He immediately went and thanked his nanny for the gift. He used it as his daily journal.
