Saki monkeys are generally very shy, cautious animals. Their furry, rough skins are black, grey or reddish-brown in colour depending upon the species. The faces of some species are naked, but their heads are hooded with white-tan fur. Sakis are frugivores; they concentrate specifically on fruits and seeds which are unripe.
