Sam loved to write poems. In fact, he was very good at it as he had won many prizes for poem writing at school. One morning, Sam was very excited. It was his Grandpa Michael’s birthday. “I will write a beautiful poem for Grandpa and give it to him during his birthday party in the evening,” Sam decided and started writing. That evening, Sam was yearning to recite it in front of everyone. After the cake was cut, everyone crowded around to give Grandpa Michael a gift. Cousin Jill gifted him a gold box. Uncle Mosses gave a set of costly golf clubs. Even Sam’s mother had gifted Grandpa an expensive new sweater. Sam felt that his gift was not perfect. But still, he recited the poem. When he looked up, he saw that Grandpa Michael was smiling. “That was the best gift I ever got!” said Grandpa Michael. Sam was glad that he chose to write a poem.
