Savannah Cat

Scientific name : Felis catus x Leptailurus serval

Family : Felidae

Interesting fact : It is a cross between a serval and a domestic cat.

The Savannah is a medium-sized hybrid cat breed. Savannahs have deeply cupped, wide, rounded, erect ears, fat, puffy noses, and hooded eyes with a black marking that runs from the corner of the eyes down the sides of the nose to the whiskers. Their coat colour is a mix of orange-brown covered with black stripes or spots. It has a white belly and mouth. It also has a short tail which has black rings, with a solid black tip. Savannahs are very difficult to produce and their appearance differs depending on the cat’s species used for mating.
