Veronica was a pretty little girl, but she was very selfish. She would not let her friends touch her fancy toys or any of her other things. Soon, Veronica’s friends became fed up of her. They stopped playing with her. Veronica was very sad. She did not understand why her friends would not talk to her any more. On Christmas Eve, she waited for her friends but no one came. Weeping, Veronica ran and sat among the grapevines. Suddenly, one of the grapes started glowing. It turned into a beautiful angel. The angel said, “Veronica, what will you do with your toys when you do not have friends to share them with? Do not be selfish. Start sharing your things. You will be happier!” Then, angel turned back into a grape. Veronica learnt her lesson. She went and apologized to her friends. Veronica’s friends forgave her and began playing with her again.
