Shag Harbour is a tiny fishing village in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. On October 4, 1967, the locals spotted a large object descending into the waters off the harbour. They saw four orange lights and a UFO some 60 ft in diameter hovering over the water. It then tilted to a 45-degree angle and descended rapidly. There was a bright flash and an explosive roar. The object floated for half a mile on water and disappeared into the icy waters. When the police arrived, all they could see was orange light and foam. These unusual events put the tiny village on the map.
