The siamang is a tailless, black-furred omnivorous gibbon. It has long, dense black-dark grey fur and a hairless face apart from a thin moustache. It has long, gangling arms that are longer than its legs. The average length of a siamang is 90 cm, weight is up to 14 kg and life span is up to 30 years.
