13-25 mm in length, the silverfish have tapering abdomens that give them a fish-like appearance. Its diet is comprised of starchy foods that are high in carbohydrates and proteins, which can be found in book bindings, carpets, coffee, clothing, glue, hair, paper, sugar, plaster, etc. A female can lay 60 eggs at a time in small crevices.
