It had been raining all day and everyone at Wexford farm was feeling low because he/she couldn’t step out. The animals collected inside the stable were also wet and droopy. Suddenly a voice chirped up, “Let’s play a game!” It was Bean, the smallest kid of a goat. “What game can we play here, crowded into this stable?” asked the horse, Dover. “We could sing, couldn’t we?” suggested Bean. So, they started with Bean. “Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream!” Bean sang and told, “Now you must sing something that starts with an M!” “My heart is in the Highlands…..!” bellowed Dover. Soon they were singing loudly, one song following another. Suddenly, as Daisy, the cow, was singing, “I have a dream…..,” the door swung open. Farmer Wexford had come to see if all was well. He was surprised at the rumpus. But the rain had stopped and the singers drifted out!
