The stars were twinkling in the sky. Mrs. Hedgehog and her son Howdy were walking in the jungle. Howdy loved to look at the stars and kept stopping to gaze up at them. It was a good walk and as they reached their house, they met a strange looking fellow. He had a large stick with a lantern on top. He also had a pair of wings on his back. He said, “Hello! My name is Blink and I am the star lighter.” Howdy was surprised. He had heard stories about the star lighter, but never seen one. Blink asked Howdy, “Would you like some extra stars above your house tonight? “Oh! Yes, please!” cried Howdy. So, Blink flew into the sky, and with a swish of his stick, at once, there was a dozen new stars twinkling above Howdy’s house.
