Interesting fact : The stinkbug’s family name is derived from the Greek words, penta (meaning five) and tomos (meaning section).
Not more than half an inch in length, the stinkbug is usually brown or green in colour. Many of the species are considered to be agricultural pests, and are even resistant to pesticides. This bug is also known as a ‘shield bug’, due to the trapezoidal shape of its body. Due to the foul-smelling substance, it may secret if threatened, this bug has got the popular name ‘stink bug’.
