Why it is special: What is incredible about the Stonehenge, is that this site was constructed by a civilization that left no written records of their culture or history. While many believed that the Stonehenge was used as a burial ground; new theories suggest that it may have actually been a place for healing, since the bones of the buried were from other regions. The 5 trilithons are set in the middle of a complex array of Neolithic and Bronze Age objects.
