You will need:
- 2 paperback books (make sure they are of the same size and thickness)
Stick two books together without the use of glue and have a hard time pulling them apart.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Take 2 paperback books and hold them in such a way that the open sides are facing each other and the spines are on the outer sides.
- Hold the pages all the way till the bottom and ruffle the pages together in a way which makes the pages interweave together.
- If all the pages do not get interwoven by ruffling them, you could practise a few times to get it right.
- Gently press the book down from where the pages have been interwoven.
- Now, try pulling the book apart by pulling the spines of the book outwards.
RESULT
If you have interwoven the pages well, you will not be able to pull the books apart. The reason for this is friction. Due to the spines of the books, when the 2 books are interwoven, a force is compressing the books together. Also when 2 objects are wedged together, it creates a frictional force interlocking them together and making it difficult to pull them apart.
