Tamám Shud case is an unsolved case of an unidentified man found dead on December1, 1948, on Somerton beach, South Australia. A page carrying the phrase, Tamám Shud, meaning ‘finished’ in Persian, was found in his trousers. The copy of the book from which the page was torn was also located. But the mystery deepened due to unsolved encrypted message, and an unidentified phone number. The death occurring at a time of international tensions of the Cold War, the involvement of a secret code, the use of poison and the inability of authorities to identify the dead man sustained the interest of the public.
