Once upon a time, a King amassed so much wealth that he got a palace built to store it. He appointed several soldiers for its protection. He was so much involved in accumulating wealth that he neglected his state duties and concentrated only in having a good time.
One day he asked all his men to join him in the feast. Suddenly, there were knocks at the main door of the palace so loud that it shook the entire palace. When the men went outside, they saw a man in tattered clothes calling the King out to speak to him.
The soldiers admonished the man to wait till the King had finished the feast. Again, the knock of the old man was so loud that the soldiers ran outside to kill him. Then the man shouted that he was the Angel of Death and he came to take the King away as his time had come.
The King cried and started blaming his wealth. But the treasures spoke to him saying that instead of utilizing the wealth in service of people he had used it for personal happiness. The Angel of Death took the soul of the King.
