An Arab, while passing through the market place, was stopped by a beggar. The beggar asked the rich Arab for some clothes in the name of Allah. The Arab decided to give his oldest suit to the beggar. Putting it on, the beggar according to custom, hung a sign on the collar which said, “There is no god but Allah.”
“But you have not added,” said the Arab, ” that Mohammed is His Prophet as the tradition goes.”
“I will not,” said the beggar, “Because this suit was stitched much before the Prophet’s arrival in this world.”
