The Bélmez Faces is an alleged paranormal phenomenon in a private house in Spain. In 1971, María Gómez claimed that the images of faces continuously form and disappear in the floor of the house. Tourists flocked to the house, now known as ‘The House of the Faces’. More and more faces continued to appear on the floor of the kitchen, attracting thousands of visitors every day. It was later discovered that the house stood above a graveyard. Some say that many of the expressions were identical to those of Maria. But the faces continued to appear even after she had passed away.
