Nathan loved to read adventurous stories. One day, he was reading a story about sailors and pirates. He wished to own a sailor’s dress and be brave like them. That evening, Nathan went shopping with his mother. In one of the shops, he saw his favourite dress on display. He looked longingly at the sailor suit in the shop window, thinking, ‘The beautiful blue and white colour looks wonderful!’ So, Nathan pestered his mother to buy it for him. But she refused because it was too expensive. Just then, Nathan’s aunt came there and offered to buy him the suit as his birthday present. Overjoyed at this, Nathan took it home and tried it on. It looked awful since it was too big. “Nathan,” scolded his mother, “why didn’t you check its size?” Nathan realised that the shop would never exchange the suit and he had to wait for some more years to wear it.
